Stinky Is Good In A Garden Of Lies©

“Are you sure you’re okay?” Agnes leaned against the back door of the truck. “You look a little pale.”
“Yes. I just think being back in that house,” she rubbed her arm. “And being around the Landau’s was a little more than I could handle.”
“Promise me you’ll get some rest. And if Xavier has to work late, I’ll come over and keep you company.”
“Thank you.” She hugged her.

Dayna stood under the hot water. She never knew why Donnie made her feel…she didn’t have a word for it, she just knew the bubbles and body brush would scrub away whatever icky creepiness he may have left on her. But that was the least of her worries. Karen had found a key. That meant Patience had hidden a box or chest somewhere, and only God knew what was inside.

Xavier cleared his desk. Agnes didn’t sound stressed when she called, but she called. He tried to dissuade Dayna from going to the Landau’s. He could never put his finger on it, but if he ever found out that Donnie put his hands on her, he’d make sure he disappeared just like Patience.
