Kathleen felt safe in his arms. When the lights went down, she snuggled closer to him. Winston winced a little when she touched his hand, but that pain was temporary. Bruises would heal, but what Tonya attempted would’ve been permanent. When Winston came to Kathleen, he didn’t have to do much to convince her.
