Stinky Is Good In A Garden Of Lies

Brad was tired, and he had a long drive ahead of him. He looked at his watch. He knew he wouldn’t make it without falling asleep. It had been a few months since he’d visited his parents, so he knew they would be more than happy to have him stay the night in his old bedroom. He dug the cell phone out of the console and dialed the only phone number he’d ever known his parents to have.
When his father answered the phone, he knew he’d made the right decision. As he pulled off, he smiled. Brad knew his parents like the palm of his hand. They were pulling everything out of the refrigerator and would have a feast prepared when he arrived. That was the only thing he missed about Greenstone. Now, even that was tainted by the blackmail box. He had to do something before he left town. And the beauty of it all was that his parents only lived four houses from the Landau’s.
