VELVET

IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE

The lights went down and Buffie returned to her seat, along with the rest of her guests. The slideshow and video presentation was better than she could’ve asked for. Each photo and action captured the essence of who they were and what they hoped to become. Despite what Tonya had told her, Buffie believed she and Chip would have a wonderful life together, and their home would be filled with one beautiful child after another.
Buffie looked around the room to catch the expressions of the people around the room, but it was too dark to see anything but shadows. In the end, it didn’t matter who saw it. All of her loose ends had been tied, and that made her happy.
