DEAD END
The room was dark. Danica covered her nose and mouth before she clicked on her flashlight. She slowly scanned the panel until she found the light switch. She looked back at the officers before she took a step into the room. She flipped the switch. It looked much like the other rooms. The floor was wet, and Chuck carefully navigated his way through the room.
“I don’t think she’s here.” Danica said as she moved back toward the door. “Somebody just forgot to clean up.”
Chuck turned to face her. He didn’t want to agree, but it didn’t seem as if he had a choice. The room held nothing but a long row of storage lockers, boxes, and cleaning supplies. He glanced around again and headed for the door.
